Welcome to my Unusual Vibes Collection
All of the paintings in this series have something slightly strange about them.

Cosy Cottage
This acrylic painting depicts a slightly eerie scene that contains parts of gay history. The pink triangle here is inverted and was used by the Act Up campaign to drive awareness of HIV and AIDs in the 1980’s with their posters using the slogan “Silence = Death”.

Last light
This acrylic painting depicts the decaying remains of Storthes Hall Asylum. This building is the main entrance and administration building and one of the few structures still standing. Who has left a light on?

Amsterdam
This acrylic scene depicts the closing party from a water polo tournament in Amsterdam. The orange harness is worn by a friend of mine and it stood out in the crowd bathed in UV light.

Sant Bartomeu
This is an oil painting of a church found in Sitges spain. The light was fading and bathed everything in an orange glow. Sitges is a well known LGBT party village, and i enjoy the serenity found in this view juxtaposed to the hedonism the place is often associated with.

This isn’t a lake
This is an imaginary vision of a lake in acrylic. It’s calm but the darkness of the trees hides secrets in their inky blues.

Unsolicited
This slightly humorous oil painting depicts a fictional scene, the computer is ancient but the message feels all too modern.
